Drazhur was always ashamed of his origins. It’s not about the bloodline, but the behavior of the dragons. The terrorizing of the civilians in the nearby villages and towns is not only degrading to his race, but it creates hostility from others towards him, and he despises it. His pristine ego and morale kept him from seeing the world as it is, and when King Melian found him and asked for help to deal with the attacks of the dragons, he promptly said yes. Drazhur wants to prove he’s not like them, and this is the perfect opportunity.
